Velvet and Tea

Let the winter night begin. Brew a divine tea. Then slip into something dark and romantic from Jane’s Vanity. As you inhale the tea’s fragrance, your senses awaken to  the beauty of your garment. The evening becomes…a study in velvet.

Each Jane’s Vanity piece is chosen for its ineffable special something. Call it chic or wit or surprise. All of these things are present in Christine Vancouver’s Moonlight collection of loungewear in silk and silk velvet. It offers an ideal line-up of mix and match designs that speak to our heart’s desires. All are made in a surreal flower print on black background. The pattern is a photo-optic bouquet of oyster grey, plum, fuchsia, and pomegranate. The effect on velvet is both masterful and magical. Even more so here, because this lustrous panne velvet, slightly flattened to free it from bulk, caresses every curve.

Begin with the Moonlight Gown, a velvet slip-dress made for venturing out as well as staying in. Wear with any one of three coverups; the full-length Moonlight Silk-Lined Velvet Robe, the Moonlight Silk-Lined Velvet Jacket, or the Moonlight Chiffon Robe with side slits and flutter sleeves. The Moonlight Silk Pajamas fit right in with their classic style and platinum silk trim.

And the tea? JV’s new line, “In the Style of Jane” offers Organic Glow Elixir Wellness Tea from Voyage et Cie by Melanie Apple. This blend of Rooibos, Sea Buckthorn, and Red Clover detoxifies the body, revitalizes the skin, and restores its suppleness. Serve in the shapely Double Walled Glass Tea Cup.

Winter dreams are made of tea and velvet from Jane’s Vanity.
