To Go
Do the dinner dash in charming loungewear from Jane’s Vanity. In Portland, we are finding ways to social distance, yet support our neighborhood restaurants. Interesting food is just a call ahead. Then, as if on a fashion runway, we stroll down the street (right down the middle) to pick it up. What shall it be tonight? Here we imagine archetypical PDX restaurants/bars/foodcarts (don’t look these up) and appropriate JV attire.
Pizza-roonie: In SE, naturally, on the ground level of a new apartment building that will be completed next week. Everyone on staff has a PhD in Italian Literature. Say “Salve!” (hello) in your Bibi Jet Black Chain Silk Slipdress from Olivia Von Halle. The response will be ‘Ciao, Bella!”
Old Portland Fish: See everyone you ever knew, at a distance, picking up their filet of sole and crisp white wine. Look uptown/downtown in another Von Halle look, the Aureta Heaven Dress. Sooth the eye in its long-sleeved, slinky teal print. Bias-cut, keyhole closure in back.
Souped-Up, a food cart probably located on SE Foster Road: Brilliant! Comforting! We need to support them. So let’s bike over in our silken pajamas: Von Halle again, this time the Daria Navy Cropped Pajamas with cute white piping and elbow-length sleeves.
Sexy Hour: A Pearl District landmark. They are closed, but you can stare in the window at the chandelier. If they were open, you’d be turning heads in your Moonlight Slip Dress from Vannina Vesperini. Dark navy stretch silk with black lace insert at bust.
Fusion Club: In inner inner Low-Bu. Sit by the river and eat your amazing meal with growlers to go. Your jeans just need a Klements silk charmeuse Mildred Blouse in one of the new prints: Cloud Forest or Chihuahuan Desert. You could add one of Klements’s desert print scarves, as well.
You’re stylin,’ in dinner-wear from Jane’s Vanity.
