The Slow Deal

Consider the seductive card game. Each hand dealt with devilish precision. It calls to mind a certain way of lingerie dressing: each piece thoughtfully selected from your collection and gracefully laid out. Perhaps today it will be a single item, showcased for effect. Or, this...and this...and this. Call it the “The Slow Deal.” An opportunity to step back, pause, and appreciate the amazing work of designers and artisans who create for Jane’s Vanity.

R Crescentini’s Scandal Lingerie Set is a case in point. The sheer black mesh bra might appear stark at first glance, but closer investigation reveals a subtle composition of floral appliques accented with tiny Swarovski crystals, sculptural trim, and textural lace at sides. The matching tanga is sheer and flexible with textural lace accents and black silk strap detailing at rear.

Merle Noir’s Chartreuse Silk Camisole calls for unhurried study. The mid-weight stretch silk body in saturated hue is delicately appliqués with hand-cut French lace in aubergine. Its slightly cropped length and spaghetti straps make it perfect for layering. This collector’s item is designed and handmade especially for Jane’s Vanity.

Loveday London’s creations merit a closer look, too. The Lysander Silk and Leather Chemise contrasts heavy corded black and white lace with a white stretch silk body and cups made of white lambskin leather. The Elfin Silk and Leather Slip begins with minky pink silk, adds metallic silver lace at bust and hem, and accents cups with metallic lambskin leather.

Notice the detailing on the Klements Reindeer Patti Dress. This full-length gown fools the eye with its playful animal print in silk charmeuse. Collar and sleeves are finished with contrasting trim. Sides slits aid in movement. Look for a surprise in the form of creature prints on the interior of the pockets (an excellent location for a lucky charm!).

Dare to linger over your lingerie. It’s good for the soul. Feels so sensuous. Your favorites from Jane’s Vanity await a nice slow, sexy shuffle.
