The Shoulder Season

Take your overseas vacation in the Shoulder Season. That’s the interlude between Peak and Off. Also known as spring or fall, when weather is pleasant and crowds are gone. Jane’s Vanity understands this insider season. As confirmed by a particular Friend of Jane (FOJ), who recently brought JV along for an autumn girlfriend trekking adventure to Corsica.

Before she departed for the Mediterranean, FOJ contemplated her travel wardrobe and remarked, “You never know…” Although a backpack might have weight limits, it must make room for possibility also. Consider that Cinderella invitation to a castle or disco. Or the vagaries of fall weather on the Mediterranean. Or the selfies. Strategy was required. 

So FOJ chose the following backpack backups: a stash of Klements scarves and her Morpho + Luna silk pajamas. From mountain sunsets, to rainstorms, to victory dinners, these comforting additions kept her smiling. On the plane, a mix of Klements scarves added warmth. On the trail, they added stylish protection. And, at the end of a long rugged day, what could feel (or look) better than Morpho + Luna’s latest silky pjs in the Colette Smoke Dancing Butterflies, the Colette Blue Jardin de Nuit, or the Ines Ivory Lullaby Leaves?

Cacti were FOJ’s dance partners. Oceanside infinity pools became her castles. And island food and wine were her call to return. 

And when she does, JV will be her companion for the mellow luxury of The Shoulder Season.
