Spicy
You might even have forgotten about the thrill of red. You’ll remember the feeling when you see Gilda & Pearl’s Lili Long Robe in red, pink, and white dragon print, cuffed with long red fringe. Wear it as a wrap dress, an at-home coverup, or a duster with the matching Lili SIlk Slip Dress or the color-blocked Sophia Midi Silk Slip Dress in Pink Champagne or Ruby. Gilda & Pearl’s High Society Midi Robe is similarly versatile, in serenely dusky silk with long fringe at cuffs.
More hot color is in store from design house Karma on the Rocks. Their 100% cotton Kyoto Aka Kaftan features an abstract floral print in shades of orange on white. It is trimmed in a refreshing chevron pattern of purple, orange, and blue. Matching cotton pajamas could stand alone or be the base of a vacation wardrobe.
Designer Karolina Laskowska takes spicy to the next level by handpainting white lace with watercolor dye to achieve a rosy glow. She further enhances the effect with punchy floral embroidery. The resulting Paeonia bra, named for the peony, is a bit nostalgic, a little beachy, a memento of summers past. Wearable all by itself, with just a sarong or, perhaps, the AKA Pajama pants from Karma on the Rocks.
Design house Emma Ducci brings you a bouquet of summer colors with her Pondicherry Paisley Silk Set, a reversible tie-back scarf top with lounging pants. The floral print is a dance of berry, orange, and pink “boteh” (pine-cone shapes). Or reverse the top for a solid hit of orange. Notice the tiny mother-of-pearl charms attached to the ends of the scarf. A little blessing.
Feel the heat, in uplifting colors and joyful shapes from Jane’s Vanity.
