Road to Romance

We start in Portland, Oregon, at Grand Gesture Books in downtown. Our gesture is to wear silk print Kazari Pajamas in gingko motif from Karma on the Rocks. The burgundy of the Isa Kazari Aqua Pajama pairs nicely with the ice blue of the Tokyo Kazari Gold Pajama. Great for autumn.

Down the coast we travel to California’s wealth of romance while wearing Karma’s Tokyo Aka Cotton Pajama. We’ll visit Smitten Bookstore in Ventura, The Ripped Bodice in Culver City, Heartbound Bookshop in the OC, and Meet Cute Romantic Bookshop in Mesa, a suburb of San Diego. Later we’ll splash out in Gilda & Pearl’s High Society Wrap Dress as we cruise the scene in San Diego’s popping Italian District.

The frontier comes to mind in Salt Lake City, Utah’s Lovebound Library, Blush Bookstore in Wichita, Kansas, and Under the Cover in Kansas City, Missouri. We’ll wear eye-catching leather appliqué shrugs and tops from Zambak and keep the cowboy vibe for Texas, with its branch of Blush Bookstore in Dallas, and The Plot Twist in Denton.

Further East lies Steamy Lit in Deerfield Beach, FL. To the left is A Novel Romance in Louisville, KY. The proper things to wear would be D2Line’s Draped-Back Blouses (Chartreuse or Navy) and Wide Legged Pants in Petunia Floral or Petunia Paint Brush.  

Up the Eastern Shore, we’ll follow along from Beach Read Books in Wilmington, NC to Kiss & Tale in Collingswood, NJ. After NYC’s branch of The Ripped Bodice, we rest in the City of Love at Philadelphia’s Cupid’s Bookshop. For reading in bed, we’ll wear Layalina’s Arielle Chemises in choice of lime with ivory lace or fuchsia with red lace. 

Back on the road, the destination is Belfast Maine to visit Grump & Sunshine Bookshop. We’re looking ”Down-East” in tops from Aromatique and Boglietti: Ribbed Wool Turtlenecks for the cool nights, and, for mid-day, the Corr silk/wool Black Long Sleeve or Silk Rib Camisoles.   

For the final leg, we don the ultimate travel companion, Zambak’s Daisy Jacket of black leather appliqué on net. Then on to Chicago for The Last Chapter Bookshop and Love’s Sweet Arrow in nearby Tinley Park. Minneapolis features Tropes & Trifles, and Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada boasts the online Leather & Lace Books. Across the border in Kalispell, MT, we brake at Good Girls Books, our final destination. Time to head for home. We’re experts on the road to romance.
