JV Smorgasbord
For Mother’s Day brunch, you and Mom will love a smorgasbord of yummy ingredients from Jane’s Vanity. Join us as we create a still-life of JV”s spring delights–to wear.
The experts suggest various compositions for a “board.” We like to start with a floral centerpiece. Let’s make it Merle Noir’s Passion Violet Slip with its discretely appliquéd black-rose lace on deep purple silk. We punctuate the look with the opera-length Eloise Tulle Gloves, in black polka dot, from Hungarian brand Karma.
So far, so good. Next, we will anchor the space with a triad of eye-catching prints from Karma on the Rocks. In one corner we arrange the Isa Yuri Yellow Pajama in dahlia-covered silk. In another, it’s the Isa Kumo Cotton Pajama in dreamy ruby-colored clouds floating on a turquoise background. And, finally, we angle a place for the Isa Kazari Aqua Pajama, gracefully cut from a teal gingko pattern on burgundy silk charmeuse.
To add texture, we create fans of socks from Pierre Mantoux: lush botanicals, Art Nouveau blues and beiges, lurex polka dots, flocked florals.
And, what lingerie smorgasbord would be complete without a lacy bra? As a crowning touch, we tuck in Karolina Laskowska’s Paeonia Lingerie Set in delicious licks of pink Chantilly Lace.
