Ceremony

Small ceremonies spice up our lives. But it is not just the act of lighting a candle or setting the table that is important. Ceremony is about savouring each joyful little moment. Feel it when dressing for a special rendezvous. Your Jane’s Vanity selections add a sense of fun and excitement that make all the difference.

Ceremony comes to mind while watching Sophia Loren and Marcello Mastroianni in the movie Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow, 1963, directed by Vittorio De Sica. In the final scene, Loren’s famous striptease https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AFZrsl3HLq8 brings Mastroianni such delight that he sits and watches like a child, with his knees drawn up to his chest and his fists at his mouth. He occasionally gives a happy little howl. The proper response. Let’s see. Could we emulate?

First, like Sophia, we’d set the scene with music. Then begin to slowly remove the diaphanous robe. No, wait. We’ve left out the provocative little smile. Allora, the robe. We suggest the Amelie Black Silk Robe from Emma Harris. It is sure to bring a smile with its jacket length and shimmering transparent French lace.

Now the sheer black stockings, removed slowly from their garters, rolled down, then tossed with flair. Gerbe offers two lovely choices, the Grand Hotel Floral Lace or the Parisienne. The Garter Belt itself next makes a side exit. For that, we like the low-slung Ecrin Desir Garter Belt from Lise Charme with its bit of red embroidery for interest. Look quickly.

Which brings us to the chemise. A wonderful opportunity to show the Exquise Babydoll from Elise Anderegg. Lace at cups and short silk georgette body.

For the finale, we might suggest R. Crescenti’s Scandal Lingerie Set, constructed of sheer black mesh. Or perhaps Taryn Winters’s Margot Beaded Lingerie Set. Cadolle’s Porno Chic Velvet Shelf Bra? You decide.

Applause all around for a memorable moment of ceremony. What bliss. In a magical assortment of lingerie from Jane’s Vanity. Baci!
