A Little Shot of Chartreuse

Although, yes, Chartreuse is a liqueur, it is its color that the fashion world is currently lapping up. The pleasing yellowish green of chartreuse was everywhere in Europe last winter and spring. It continues to charm. Imagine it lighting up your face and wardrobe. Better still, see its magic in new arrivals at Jane’s Vanity.

BTW, you might notice that a neon-green cousin of chartreuse called “Brat Green” has captured a mood this summer. British pop singer Charli XCX started it all by plastering it on the cover of her new album “Brat.” This rowdy color is appearing on everything from political websites to subway signs.

But, back to the mellower shade of chartreuse itself, which will look nice on yourself. Emma Harris has created a collection just for JV that presents her Rochelle shapes in lime silk trimmed with stunning gold lace. Collect the Lingerie Set, Slip, and Robe to feel the gentle touch of sunshine (and of Emma Harris) all year round.

A design house new to JV, D2Line from Bulgaria, also brings us chartreuse. The woman-owned brand is dedicated to ethical production, top-quality fabric, and beautiful craftsmanship. Its visionary French designer, Thomas Vasseur, is a veteran of Parisian fashion houses Givenchy by Alexander McQueen, Alaia, Zac Posen, and Jean Paul Gaultier. Vasseur chose chartreuse to accent his new line of apparel that is as fluid as loungewear. Its poly fabric is smooth, wrinkle-free, and a dream for travel. Just in: cap-sleeve, gold-button blouses with an attached cowl-neck scarf that can be worn backward or forward. Choice of chartreuse or navy. The blouses are accompanied by palazzo pants in two colorful prints. One print suggests abstract diagonal stripes, the other surrounds the lower leg with a bold floral design. Both add the zing of chartreuse.

More chartreuse is on the way. We love its happy attitude, it's clear and daring chic. Jane’s Vanity says “Cheers” to a little shot of chartreuse.
