A Charmed Season

My favorite charm bracelet is chunky and sparely embellished. Each of its five, evenly spaced, baubles is a work of art--of heart. As I lay it out, I think of the coming cozy months that call for a little sparkle. Each charm tells a story for the season.

The tambourine is a Spanish dream of filigree. What artisan thought to create such a joyful symbol of music, nostalgia, travel? Elise Anderegg’s new “Grace” Lace Dress is delicately filigreed too, and, worn in a variety of ways, ready to dance the night away.

The pelican charm is so hardy, game for anything, quick. Rub him for luck and wear Zynni’s Ruby Boatneck Cashmere Poncho to light up the darkness.

The glorious baroque pearl, in Florentine setting, flirts outrageously. “Aren’t I gorgeous? Look at these curves.” Get into the mood with Gilda and Pearl’s “Gina” Emerald Lingerie Set.

Children love the angel/devil charm. Which is it, they ask? Well, hard to tell. The little diamond eye seems to be winking. Add a little mystery yourself in another version of “Gina,” this time in Gilda and Pearl’s almost demure Gina Emerald Pajamas.

The crystal rose charm is a reminder of seasons to come, a resplendent promise. Keep the faith, under your black, with Ritratti’s Ermitage Embroidered Sheer Balconette set in deepest red floral lace.

Wear your finery this winter, on wrist and elsewhere, with a shake of fun and soul.
