ART DECO AND ART NOUVEAU INSPIRED
Inspired by the art deco and art nouveau movements, Emma Harris designs are an homage to the high-quality materials and glamour that many have left behind. These styles were known for a dynamic sense of movement, a melding of modern materials with a sensuous curve or flourish. The shimmering French Leavers lace and rich silks used in every Emma Harris piece reflect the same dynamism.
OBSESSION WITH THE FINEST
Devotion to the history of textiles brings inspiration as well. The atelier is housed within a 19th century lace mill, and neighbors with the last Leavers lace mill in England. Artisan sewing techniques are taught in-house to her small team. Emma Harris does not create stock; all pieces are made to order for their exclusive stockists.
ABOUT EMMA HARRIS
Founder Claire Emma Harris studied fashion technology at Nottingham University. After working as design director for other brands, she used her knowledge and experience to launch a womenswear brand in 2008. In 2013, the brand was relaunched as Emma Harris Lingerie. Since then, Claire and her team have produced every piece in-house at their Derbyshire atelier.
