Traveling, but Trying…
When on the road, we wish to look sharp. It’s part of the game. And our secret play is to pack a boldly printed silk blouse and a pretty camisole from JV. Not the obvious choices for travel? Maybe not, but surprise is the key to greatness. And we look fabulous.
Jane’s Vanity has a wonderful selection of silk print tops and colorful camisoles. These pieces perk up our basics and marshal our core accessories. Best of all, they refresh our travel-weary bodies with their lightness and ease.
We begin with the Celeste Champagne Camisole Set from Emma Harris. Crafted of cream silk, with gold lace appliqué, its shapely top and tap pant would be handy for sleeping or sunbathing too.
For a top, we might choose the versatile navy and white Camo Bloom Blouse from Violet & Wren. Its face-framing notched collar, placket and cuffs are piped with gold to add a touch of dressiness. It works as a tunic; looks good belted or tucked in; can stand alone or be worn under a sweater or jacket.
Perhaps we’ll opt for a boatneck shape to follow our curves. Christine Vancouver offers the St. Tropez Top in a sunny print of sky blue, chartreuse, melon, tan, black and white. We’ll find room to pack the matching robe, to wear out for day or evening.
Travel boldness can come from shape and texture as well as pattern. We like the new Big Collar Shirt, in black, from Stelios Kodounaris. Its gauzy blend of cotton and silk would show off the Emma Harris Clara Camisole Set in rich purple silk, appliquéd with its stunning black floral lace.
To keep up our side on the road, we pack silk, and a little glitz, from Jane’s Vanity.
