That Girl

A travel wardrobe should make you feel totally yourself: that person, that girl, you wish to show the world. So, use a Jane’s Vanity trick, and create three complete looks. Wear them in rotation, with slight variations. Concoct them from the latest JV arrivals. To make your travel life simple–and simply brilliant.

For the first look, we especially admire the new Elliette Jacket by Estelle Wiele, from her NYC atelier. A black jacket is a handy thing. Especially in this lustrous silk taffeta with structured boat neck and silver closures down the front. Black trousers, or a favorite skirt, will complete the look for a day in the city. For a country lunch, substitute your favorite denim.

Base another look on the new taffy-colored cashmere from Raev Paris. The Sensual Dive Sweater (to wear backward or forward) pairs with the midi-length Smoking Skirt to create a stunning combo. Vary it, if you wish, with black on top. Raev offers the Sculpted Temptation Sweater or the Daring Back Sweater (with lower back cut out accented with a functioning belt).

For the third look, consider a full-length dress from John Smedley: the Eilean Dress in Ruby or Brown. Their extra-fine ribbed wool knit has an easy fit, a side slit, and a slightly asymmetrical hem. Accessorize as you will: statement belt, a necklace acquired along the way?

For fall and winter travel, a pair of good-looking, comfortable boots is in order (tuck in some Bresciani Socks). Complete the picture with Christine Vancouver’s fabulous Carmen Devore Velvet Scarf. “That Girl” would also add the wool-lined, fur-cuffed Corina Gloves from Karma Gloves, choice of chocolate or ivory.

You’re ready. And feeling great. Dressed for stylish adventure by Jane’s Vanity!
