Desert Princess

It is spring in the desert. You may be cooped up at home for now, but, with a bit of imagination, you can travel. Take a closer look at the images on your screen-saver. Isn’t that you, a high desert drifter, on an early morning canyon stroll? You are wearing one of the new silks from Jane’s Vanity in subtle southwest colors, accessorized by the big blue sky of the dreamy West.

Brits at Violet & Wren have also succumbed to the American desert. They tell your story with their Sonoran Sun Collection. Slip into their camp shirts in cotton/silk blend. The Yuma VIne Camp Shirt lets you experience the many pale greens and blues of the desert, with little hits of orange. The Queen of the NIght Camp Shirt brings white desert flora to a background of navy. The Maxi Dress in this pattern will be your playful companion all summer.

And, be mesmerized by the nostalgic palette of their Saguaro Gold cactus print. Its dusty blues and greens, with pops of white, stand out on a field of golden silk charmeuse. Wear it in the multi-strap Bias Slip Dress or Longline Robe, or both.

Look more closely at your private desert. Tiny flowers are springing up everywhere. Match their boldness in Gilda & Pearl’s Fleuriste Lingerie Set. Its pale pink tulle is embroidered with blossoms in shades of gold, pink, teal, red, blue, and purple. A lovely way to blend into the scenery.

A desert princess needs a bandana. Klements offers the Chihuahuan Giant Square Scarf, a cotton/silk vision of peach-toned desert plants.
