Body Forth!

“No need to talk, just body forth.” That is the message from design house Hervé by Céline Marie, new at Jane’s Vanity. Their unique “tattoo” illusion lingerie is an art form that can be worn like a second skin. These special garments “body forth” (embody) the house’s motto: “Made to last, worn to be seen.”

Inspired by her couture training, as well as the avante-garde street styles of East London and Amsterdam, designer Céline Marie loves to deconstruct and merge materials. Her signature look is a mosaic of French leavers lace, appliquéd to ultra-fine sheer illusion mesh. With an eye to the asymmetry of nature, she individually cuts and places the lace for each piece. Then she uses a free-hand appliqué machine that secures the composition with strong cross-stitches. 

See the result in the Viéve High-Neck Bra Set. A delight to wear every day, layered or alone, in black mesh and bronze-tinted lace. The bra is wire-free and framed with soft velvet-touch elastics. Outer silk slings provide additional support. Pretty for summer under a tee, sundress, or jacket.

Or try the Bodysuit in black mesh with gold appliqué. Its precision is complemented by a little afterthought of ruffle at the throat. Its halter back plunges to a v-shape thong that suggests a heart. Gloves to match? Why yes, what a good idea.  

Both strappy and lacy, the Phelea Wired Longline Bra Set, in black mesh with gold, is friendly and seductive. Its appliquéd sheer mesh halter cups are supported by a comfortable mono-wire and further shaped by fully adjustable straps. A scallop of lace below the cups is matched by the beautiful lace derriere of the Brazilian brief.
