Another Day of Sunshine
Another day of sunshine, or how three pairs of pajamas can save any day.
I packed a lot of prints for this Hawaiian holiday, without much thought for how all those prints would be worn together. I'm not shy with layering on plenty of prints, but sometimes my eyes require some calmness in the clashing exuberance of patterns.
The long sleeved linen shirt from Morpho & Luna works nicely over a vintage Hawaiian print dress, a printed skirt, or a long dress. Plus it doubles as protection from the sun, allowing more ambling time for walks along the ocean. How cool is that?! I wore my short sleeve cotton top from Olivia Von Halle as a camp shirt option over a pair of wild floral printed shorts. It was perfect for a sunset cruise & whale watching. Up close, whales, even babies, look & are enormous! That camp shirt was equally at home worn as a little shell over a long graphic black & white sundress for yet another interpretation. With my navy cotton ribbed Dana Pisarra worn as the underpinning to the ivory silk crepe de chine pajamas, they were coolly chic enough to wear for a dinner date in Hana.
The beauty of all this double duty; is at the end of the day it can once again be magically transformed into its role as luxurious sleepwear. Creative packing with loungewear can truly lighten your suitcase & your spirit in so many ways. When I'm back home again, I can relive happy memories just by slipping into my pajamas!
Aloha,
Jane
