Tailoring since age 12, she began her studies at the Artemis Fashion Academy in The Netherlands at age 15, acquiring her Bachelors degree before progressing to study the art of Couture at the Master Tailor Institute. Her experience includes specializing as a pattern maker with Müller & Sohn as well as in-depth experience in design and construction for the Dutch National Ballet and couture houses including Viktor & Rolf. Her years of experience culminated in founding her own label, utilizing her knowledge of couture construction to create the most exquisite and ethereal lingerie pieces that we have ever seen. Alongside in-stock items that are custom-designed exclusively for us, Merel also offers her bespoke services through Jane's Vanity, allowing for completely customizable garments that can be made to your precise measurements.
