Behind the Scenes: Summer Lookbook
Fall is officially upon us, but I’m still clinging to the sun and saturation of the Summer months. The transition to dark days and cooler temperatures is always challenging for me, but this year I have a jewel-toned gem to brighten these early fall days: our Summer lookbook with Gia Goodrich.
Right on cue - as if she sensed my longing for Summer to never end – Gia just sent over this behind-the-scenes video from the lookbook shoot. The colors, the patterns, that amazing makeup! I’m yearning to bring this mood into my Fall/Winter wardrobe.
Every photo shoot is an entirely different beast, completely transformed by who is on set & how excited they are about what they are shooting. This shoot was a gem of a collaboration, putting together one of the finest Portland photographers with one of the most gifted makeup artists, a handful of darling models & our glorious lingerie and loungewear. It’s always amazing seeing the first shots through the eye of the camera – a vision come to life. The talent and dedication of everyone involved in this project made the long day fly by – this was truly a dream-team!

Summer might be over, but I for one am holding on: integrating these same saturated styles into my fall wardrobe seems like the perfect way to carry the spirit of our Summer lookbook with me. If only I could rock yellow eyeshadow as well as Zoe did!
