About February

A short cold month in the midst of winter is hardly lacking in distractions. There’s Groundhog Day,  the Grammys, Super Bowl, Carnivale, Valentine’s Day, cherry pie, and so on. All designed, perhaps, to lift us into spring. At Jane’s Vanity, we bring the light with sparkling lingerie.

Metallic lace on silk is cheery anytime. But, in February, it is necessary. And JV offers many iridescent essentials. On a dark morning, smugly reach for something Freolic (rhymes with frolic) from London. Choose a lingerie set of deep blue silk with cups and bikini of pearly seafoam green. Another day, make it their mulled wine silk in combo with glittering lace of clearest red.

Emma Harris, another UK design house, also understands about February. They begin with the Amelie collection in black silk and spice it up with twinkling lace. Choose the sultry plunge bra, the slip, or robe. Next they branch out with a rainbow of colors appliqued with lace of gold. Try the Elsa collection in teal, the Celeste in raspberry, the Clara in deep purple, the Veronique in cobalt or light blue, or the Rochelle in orchid or mulberry.

Gilda & Pearl’s Champagne in Venice sheath seems designed for February celebrations with its silver embroidery on sheer white net fabric. Dreams of feathered hems in gondolas will get us through the incidental snowstorm at home.

February flies by almost too quickly. Enjoy it while it lasts, in luminous choices from JV. Because soon…it’s March Madness!
